About Me
I am a Melbourne based educator, photographer, NDIS counsellor, and writer. I have worked in schools for over a decade and completed five university degrees, with a focus on developing students' academic potential and wellbeing. My creativity and flexibility has also allowed me to build a thriving photography business.
I love helping my clients overcome challenges. To that end, I tutor students of all ages (from pre-prep numeracy through to adults learning English) through my business, Templestowe Tutoring. Additionally, my counselling and coaching sessions are billed at standard NDIS rates and appointments are readily available via Zoom or FaceTime. My dual photography businesses also keep me busy: Pause The Moment (weddings, birthdays, corporate needs and family portraits) and Paws The Moment (pet photography). For several years, I put my writing and photography skills together on my personal blog Pacific Ginger, which is not currently active but can still be found directly or via Instagram.
Excitingly, I've recently joined the photography team of New Humans of Australia, which, inspired by the iconic Humans of New York, seeks to reduce discrimination towards migrants (especially refugees) by sharing their incredible stories. I love travel and languages and have enjoyed studying Mandarin since my own school days. Having taught primary level Mandarin, I founded and currently administer the Facebook Group "Mandarin Chinese Language Teachers" for those who are teaching Chinese as a Second Language, here and overseas. This group now hosts over 10,000 members. Lastly, I have written a series of curriculum documents for the Digital Teaching & Learning branch of Education Services Australia, which have since been used by teachers around the globe.
Should you need a photographer, a tutor, a counsellor or a writer, please do not hesitate to be in touch.
